Event: Table Tennis
Master Kaushik Basak of Class XI, under 19, bagged 01 Gold in doubles, 01 Silver in singles and 01 Bronse in tennis held at New Delhi from 10 Nov 09 to 20th Nov 09.
Event: Swimming
Km. Himakshi Sharma of Class VI, under 14, bagged 01 Bronse medal in 400 mtrs free style swimming held at Ahemedabad from 16 Nov 2009 to 20 Nov 2009.
Achievement in Art Competition:
Winners of Interanational Child Art Competition “Fragrance of the Art Buds” 2009
The students of Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Guwahati have won many honours in the 1st Interanational Child Art Competition “Fragrance of the Art Buds” 2009 organised by Young Envoys International Hyderabad, a pioneering art organisation of the country. In this competition children from Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Tanzania, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia & India have participated. The Students of K.V. IIT Guwahati have won 11 Gold Medals, 27 Jury Honours & 29 Honourable Mentions. The following students have won Gold Medals-

- Master Hemanta Sarmah of class XI has qualified the written exam of KVPY-2008.
- Master Hemanta Sarmah of class XI and Master Saptarishi Mahanta of class VIII A bagged the First and the Second Prize in the National Science Exhibition 2007 at IIT Kharagpur.
- Master Saptarishi Mahanta prepared a working model on the topic 'Agriculture and food'.
- Master Hemanta Sarmah prepared a 'Mathematical Model'.

- Received Silver Medal and two students Pallavi Sarmah (IXB) and Sagarika Baruah (IXB) have been selected for KVS National Sports Meet 09.
Swimming:
- Himakshi Sharmah (VIA) bagged 3 silver medals and selected for KVS National Sports Meet 2009 .
- Arindam Choudhury (VB) received 1 silver medal and selected for KVS National Sports Meet 2009.
- Abdul Zamir (VIIB) received 2 Brownze Medals.
Tae Kwan Do :
- Nabadeep Lekharu (XA) received Silver and and selected for KVS National Sports Meet 2009.
- Aryan Prakash Kashyap (XI) received brownze.
- Sudarshan Sonowal(IXA) received brownze.
Table Tennis :
- Kaushik Basak(XI) received silver and selected for KVS National Sports Meet 2009.
Athelatics:
- Dhanjit Deka (IXB) received 1 silver, 1 brownze.

- KVIITG bagged 6 medals in 23rd National Senior Taekwan-Do Championship (ITF) 2008 (37kg Group) held in Panaji, Goa from 27th Dec to 30th Dec 2008.
- Assam Team of Taekwan Do won the 7 medals in which 6 medals was from KVIITG students/teachers. Details are given below-
