Annual Day Celebration-2011
The 8th Annual day of KV IIT Guwahati was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on 30th April, 2011 in the Auditorium of IIT Guwahati. Prof. Gautam Barua, Director IIT Guwhati and the Chairman VMC graced the occasion as the Chief guest and distributed the Prizes to the students in various events.
Children Day Celebration 2010
Children day 2010 was celebrated with great pomp & gaiety in the Vidyalaya. Many cultural events were conducted for the entertainment of the members of the family. Fancy dress competition for junior classes was the main attraction of the day.

हिन्दी पखवाडा २०१०
हिन्दी पखवाडा धूमधाम और उल्लास के साथ केन्द्रीय विद्यालय आईआईटी गुवाहाटी में मनाया जा रहा है.
इस कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत श्री एन. डी. शर्मा, टी. जी. टी. (वर्क एक्सपेरिएंस) ने अपने स्वरचित काव्य संकलन "प्रतिबिम्ब - मन का उदगार" से एक कविता का पाठ किया. कविता शीर्षक था "सड़क". श्री एन. डी. शर्मा, की स्वरचित काव्य पुस्तक "प्रतिबिम्ब -मन का उदगार" का प्रथम अंक प्रकाशन के लिए प्रेस में है और अब इसे ३० सितम्बर २०१० से पहले औपचारिक रूप से प्रकाशित किये जाने की संभावना है. इस पुस्तक में श्री एन. डी. शर्मा द्वारा रचित ४१ कवितायेँ हैं जिनमें से कई पहले से ही स्थानीय समाचार पत्र और पत्रिका आदि में प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं. श्री एन. डी. शर्मा, ने अहिन्दीभाषी क्षेत्र में रहते हुए जिस तरह के कविताओं की रचना की है वह सराहनीय है.
5 Days Cricket Tournament under Regional Sports Meet 2010-11
Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Guwahati was the venue for 5 days Cricket Tournament under Regional Sports Meet 2010-11 from 18.08.2010 to 22.08.2010. Among Kendriya Vidyalayas of Guwahati Region 27 teams were participated in the tournament. There were two age groups of the teams U-16 and U-19. Programme was successfully completed under the guidance and supervision of Shri J. K. Choudhary, Principal, KV Goalpara. Shri. S. K. Verma, PGT Chemistry KV IIT Guwahati was the offg. Principal of the venue.
Independence Day 2010 Celebration
Independence day 10 was celebrated on 15th August 2010 in the Vidyalaya. Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT also participated in the Independence Day Celebration of IIT Guwahati. They presented many colourful programmes. The scouts and guides students took part in the march past with the IIT Guwahati students on that day.
Workshop for Mathematics Olympiad 2010-11
The 2 days workshop on Mathematics Olympiad for PGT/TGT Mathematics was inaugurated on 02nd August 2010 at K.V. IIT GHY. The chief guest, Honourable Assistant Commissioner, GHY Region, Shri A.K. Vajpayee; Guest of Honour , E.O. of GHY Region , Shri A. V. L. J. Rao were present and the programme was started with the lighting the lamp and it was followed by Saraswati Bandana by the students of KV IIT Guwahati. The Course Director of the workshop was Shri T. K. Sampat Kumar, Principal, KV NERIST and the workshop was successfully completed in the direction of the venue director Shri P. S. Raju, Principal, KVIIT Guwahati.

Annual Day Celebration 2010
Annual Day 2010 was celebrated on 29th April 2010 in the Auditorium of IIT Guwahati. Prof. Gautam Barua, Director IIT Guwahati was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the function by lighting of the lamp and addressed the gathering and also distributed the prizes to the students of KVIITG. Prof. S. Dandapath, Dean Admin, IIT Guwahati was also present on the occasion. Shri P. S. Raju, Principal, KVIIT Guwahati presented the annual report before the gathering.
One Day Workshop on CCE and Academic Planning for PGT (Physics) and PGT (Computer Science) each.
A workshop on CCE and Academic Planning 2010 was held in Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Guwahati on 16th April 2010 for PGT Computer Science and on 17th April 2010 for PGT Physics. Shree P. S. Raju, Principal, KVIITG explained about Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation to all the candidates. Mr. S. N. Patle, PGT(Physics), KVIITG and Mr. Rajeev Kumar Patel, PGT(Computer Science) of KVIITG also took a session each in the workshop.

Inauguration of KVS News Letter
A News Letter of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Guwahati Region was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Vajpayee, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO Guwahati on 26th February 2010 in the KV IIT Guwahati. Dr. Jaideep Das, EO, KVS, RO and Shri R. T. Borkar, EO, KVS RO Guwahati were present on the occasion. Principal KV CRPF were also present on the occasion. Shri P. S. Raju, Principal KVIITG & co-ordinator of the News Letter welcome with the traditional gamocha and bouquet to the guests and dignitaries.
National Science Day Celebration
National Science Day 2010 was celebrated in the Vidyalaya. Sh. P. S. Raju, Principal, KVIITG encouraged the students with a valuable speech. Sh. A. K. Vajpayee, Assistant Commissioner KVS RO Guwahati, Dr. Jaideep Das, EO, KVS RO, Guwahati and Sh. R. T. Borkar, EO, KVS, RO Guwahati graced the occassion with their presence and valuable speech. Two science quiz competitions, one for classes VI-VIII and another for classes IX-XII were organized and successfully completed. Students of KVIITG very actively participated in the quiz. Prizes were distributed by Sh. A. K. Vajpayee, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO, Guwahati.
Art and Drawing Exhibition
An art and drawing exhibition were organized on 26th February in the Vidyalaya. Students of Primary section (classes I-V) presented their paintings and other art works in the exhibition. Work of primary students was appreciated by teachers, parents and everyone present in the exhibition.

Annual Sports Day
Annual Sports Day of the Vidyalaya was celebrated on 20th February 2010 in the Sports Complex of IIT Guwahati under the able guidance of Sh P. S. Raju, Principal KVIITG and Mr. S. T. Islam, PET. Annual Sports Meet was declared lighting of torch and flying peasons on the day and a plenty of sports event were taken place. Students of KV IIT presented march past before the sports events.
10 Days In Service Course for PRT's
10 days in-service course for PRT was inaugurated by Hon'ble Assistant Commissioner, Shri A. K. Vajpayee on 23rd December 2009. Dr. Jaideep Das, Education Officer, KVS RO and Shri R. T. Borkar, Education Officer, KVS RO were present on the and addressed the participants with their valuable words.
Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Guwahati conducted In Service Course for Primary Teachers (PRT). The course duration was 10 days, from 23rd December 2009 to 01st January 2010. The course director of the course was Shri P. S. Raju, Principal, KVIIT Guwahati.

Pratham/Dwitiya Sopan Testing Camp, Bharat Scout & Guides
Pratham / Dwitiya Testing Camp of Bharat Scout & Guides is to be held on 11th and 12th December 2009 in the Vidyalaya. A Camp Fire programme have been organized on 11th December 2009 at 7:30 pm. Shri R.K.Kaushik, Assistant Director, Bharat Scouts & Guides, NE Region will be the Chief Guest and Shri J. A. Padmanabhan, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Narangi & District Commissioner, District A, KVS Divisional State, RO Guwahati will be the Guest of Honour of the ocasion. The programme is being organized under the guidance and supervision of Shri P.S.Raju, Principal, KVIIT Guwahati.

Mr. N. D. Sarmah, SUPW Teacher of this Vidyalaya has been awarded with KVS National Incentive Award 2009.
37th Jawahar Lal Nehru Regional Level Science Exihibition
37th Jawahar Lal Nehru Regional Level Science Exihibition 2009 was conducted in the Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT on 14th and 15th September 2009. Aprox 40 Vidyalaya participated in the science exihibition with their science models on various sub themes. Shri A. K. Vajpayee, Assitant Commissioner, KVS RO Guwahati Region inauguration of the exibition. Shri Jaideep Das, Education Officer, KVS, RO Guwahati and Shri R. T. Borker, Educaton Officer, KVS RO Guwahati were present in the inauguration. Prof. Dandpat, Nominee Chairman, VMC & Dean Admin IIT Guwahati was also present on the occasion. Hindi Pakhwara Celebration
Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT celebrated Hindi Pakhwara from 14th September to 28th September. The Function was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Vajpayee, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Guwahati on 14th September at 9:00am in the Vidyalaya Campus.

An Academic Inspection was done in the Vidyalaya by Shri A. K. Upadhyay, Education Officer, Hq, New Delhi on 07th September 2009 . At the end of the day, he guided the teachers and given his valuable suggestions for better performance in the Vidyalaya.

Teachers day 09 was celebrated on 5th September 2009 in the Vidyalaya. All the students and the teachers took active participation to make this celebration a memorable one.
