Achievements in Games & Sports

Games and Sports:

Sports activities are the regular feature of Vidyalaya. Mass PT forms an essential part of the morning assembly with the aim to discipline the students and impart physical fitness. Apart from regular games, PT Yoga classes, various competitions are held regularly. The selected student in various events of vidyalaya level subsequently take part in cluster, regional and National level sports meet every year. Further they may be selected for SGFI (School games federation of India).

Interhouse Sports Competition :

An inter house Sports Competition was conducted in the Vidyalaya from 24th February 2009 to 28th February 2009. Many games events was been conducted in the competition which not only tested their sportsman spirit but was also brought out the best in them. The most attractive events were the Kabaddi and Volleyball matches. These two events were been conducted house wise.

Regional Level Sports Meet 2008 (Football and Swimming)

Regional Level Sports Meet 2008 was organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office Guwahati Region. In this sequence Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT was the venue of Football and Swimming. Around 20 KVs took part in the football tournament and many in Swimming also. Kendriya Vidyalaya Happy Valley was the Winner team in the Football tournament.

Annual Sports Meet 2008

The annual sports Meet 2008 was organized in Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Guwahati from February 02, 2008 to February 10, 2008. A lot of really enjoyable games events was been conducted in the meet which not only tested their sportsman spirit but will also bring out the best in them. The most attractive events were the Kabaddi and Football matches. These two events were been conducted house wise. Other athletics events were also conducted on this occasion like Volley ball, athletics etc.

Taekwondo

Regular Tae Kwon Do training is given to the students by expert master under sports event. Students took part in Regional as well as KVS National Sports meet 2006-07 successfully. Also they take part regularly in local programme and competitions.
